Step by Packet has no accounts, no ads and no tracking cookies. This page lists everything the site stores or receives, and why.

On your device

The guides remember a few things in your browser's local storage: the sections you've marked as done, the animation speed and the colour theme. This data stays on your device and is never sent to the site. To delete it, use “Reset progress” in a guide or clear this site's data in your browser.

Hosting

The site is hosted by Cloudflare. Like any web server, Cloudflare receives technical data when your browser requests a page: your IP address, your browser's user agent and the address of the page. It uses this data to deliver the site and to protect it from attacks, on behalf of Step by Packet. Cloudflare's own practices are described in its privacy policy.

Visitor statistics

Step by Packet counts visits with Cloudflare Web Analytics. It sets no cookies, uses no local storage and doesn't follow individual visitors. The statistics are aggregated: which pages are read, from which sites visitors arrive, countries, browser and device types, and how fast the pages load.

Fonts

The fonts are served from this site. No request goes to Google Fonts or to any other third party.

Advertising

There are no ads on Step by Packet. If ads are added, this page will be updated first, and where the law requires it you'll be asked for consent before any advertising cookie is set.

Your rights

Step by Packet doesn't keep personal data about visitors. For any question about your data, or to exercise your rights under the GDPR, write to contact@stepbypacket.com. You can also complain to the data protection authority in your country.
